Ethan Eckert writes songs about dread and redemption. His first solo record Duets with You collected songs that bridge gaps between realized, matured images and ambiguous resistance to certainty. His second record, Punishment, strives to continue the conversation of meaning and will come out in 2017. He’s written and recorded in Kansas City bands such as Of and Acadia, and he currently drums for Salty. He is most inspired by walking through windy forests, competition, and spending time near streams.
